Are you manifesting a dream trip to Hawaii?  Do you want to do so all the while feeling like a movie star?  If that’s a ‘yes’ and ‘yes’, then  keep on reading…

As we flew to Hawaii, we were greeted with VIP service that took us directly from the airport to the Four Season’s Wailea. Think: White Lotus Season 1. As we entered the most heavenly hotel, we were greeted with a handmade lei and cocktail.

Day 1: We had a fabulous Italian lunch at Ferraro’s. The views simply could not be beat and the cocktails and service were top-notch.We spent several hours just taking in the experience, savoring all that a Four Season’s lunch had to offer. Afterwards, we went back to the room and relaxed on our sprawling balcony. We simply could not get enough of the fantastic ocean views. From there, we had an intimate dinner on property at the Four Season’s lawn that included a ukulele player and a famous artist painting the scenery, for which we’d later get  a copy of to enjoy after our trip was over to commemorate the special week.

Day 2: We woke up early to head to Ali’i Nui catamarans and sailboats for a morning on the water. I can’t say enough about this excursion. Upon entry, we were immediately greeted to an open bar, breakfast buffet complete with  homemade banana bread, and a plethora of sunshine and smiles. We set off sailing and not one detail was overlooked — there was even a gentleman who came to clean our sunglasses before and after snorkeling. We had a marine biologist accompany us on our snorkeling tour, showcasing all the ocean had to offer; pointing out every turtle, shark, and miscellaneous and interesting marine objects that we surely would have passed up had he not been with us. From there, they escorted us out of the water where we were able to take an outdoor hot shower on the boat. Again, no corners cut and so many amenities were provided and planned for. Next up: a boat cooking class featuring the most insane poke bowls you have ever eaten. We then dined over a beautiful buffet lunch including 3 different poke bowl options. After, we sailed home and listened to amazing music, learning some indigenous Hawaiian history along the way.

We spent the remainder of the day relaxing at the Four Season’s spa while we enjoyed a couples massage. As you may remember from season 1 of White Lotus, a lot of goodness can happen at this spa and boy is that true! Enjoy the couples room and the beautiful treatments. And what better way to end the day than with a  luau buffet with the most fabulous food options while watching  live dancers table side. An absolute gem of a day.

Day 3: Saturday morning we woke up and headed out to get some Maui Jim sunglasses to pair with our mustang convertible, which can be pre-ordered at the hotel and will await you at the downstairs lobby. Tip: download The Road To Hana roadmap app called gypsy and be prepared for an incredible drive. The app suggests places to stop along the way to see spectacular watering holes, water falls, and even black beaches. We pulled off the road to experience the delectable and infamous Auntie’s Banana Bread. Some other favorites: find your lost coconut and crack it open, stop at the Garden Arboretums to explore the rainbow eucalyptus trees, and/or repel down the waterfalls. Full disclosure: I only made it down the first repel, but it was amazing nonetheless. My husband ventured down all of them and got to do 5 foot jumps from the rope down to the pools. Talk about an adrenaline rush!

We ventured back onto the beaten path on the Road To Hana and stopped at Mama’s Fish House— a locals and travelers favorite alike. But do not be deterred by the difficulty of getting a reservation; we were told by every single person on the island that we wouldn’t be able to get a spot without a pre-made reservation months prior. Get there before 5 pm and sit in the back bar, not the front bar. Have a fabulous dinner and enjoy the best views that Hawaii has to offer. We got home, had a nightcap of some amazing tequilas and mezcals and headed to the hot tub of the family pool. We were the only ones in sight.

Day 4: We decided to spend the morning  experiencing the organic farms and distilleries. There, we learned about organic vodka, had fabulous food and wine pairings, as well as learned more about farm-to-table dining in Hawaii. We even got an opportunity to do some pro-bono work on some of the canoes that needed some extra TLC. From there, we went back to our hotel and enjoyed the adult pool. We reentered into our white lotus vibe reenacting some of scenes as discreetly as possible, of course.

For lunch, we enjoyed the chicken wings, spicy margaritas, and the insane views. Note:  it’s hard to get seats by the adult pool so get your name on the waiting list early. We took a dip together in the ocean and enjoyed the warm waters and pristine beaches. We ended up in a cabana at the family pool, read a good beach read (Women by Kristin Hannah), and enjoyed the best lava flow I have ever had. We relaxed beachside until we had another dinner on the lawn overlooking the ocean. We decided to take the red eye home so we could have that full day and get back to our kiddos to get them to school. The time change does not work in our favor on the route home, but it’s worth every min of recovery upon reentry.

It’s imperative to have a vision of the kind of experience you want to make happen. It doesn’t need to be Hawaii or the lavishness of the Four Season’s, either. It does, however, need to be in a place that can make you recenter and feel at peace in the moment.  As we entered back into our reality of kids and logistics, we had these special memories of how good our connection is when we get that time alone. ❤️
